Ben is recognized on the water as one of south central Alaska’s top guides. His uncompromising dedication to excellence and passion for fishing and boating results in a consistency in performance rarely found in other guide services. Ben’s 20 years full time professional fishing guide experience in Alaska and his passion for life and people are the reasons his customers keep returning.
Guide Ryan
Ryan has fished and boated the Matsu Valley extensively since 2003 and is dialed into both the salmon and trout fisheries of south central Alaska. His customer service and joy for the Alaska outdoors, fishing and boating surpasses most anglers and guides.
Manager Amber
Amber will run the boats and fish with the best of them, but her role is to manage the office, lodging and fish processing operation. Her pride in performance and positive attitude is unparalleled. Her knowledge of valley fisheries exceeds most guides. She will answer all your fishing and booking questions to ensure you are prepared to have the fishing trip of a lifetime.

The Susitna River is so awesome! 313 miles long, flowing from Susitna Glacier to Cook Inlet. 4th largest king salmon run in the state. 15th largest river in the United States. Flowing through pristine wilderness with so many tributaries, braids, good fishing and miles to explore!! The boat ride to the fishing is worth the price itself, on our guided trips.

Can you believe it’s been over 10 years since the floating docks (fish hooks, fillet tables, scale ) have been put in Deshka? Pictured are some small early May Kings in 2012 —the last year the docks were in. Ryan and I cleaned up a lot of trash in the mouth area.
