Powerboat Trips
Our specialty and best guided fishing value in the state of Alaska. Guiding from a powerboat allows Ben and Ryan to cover lots of water and quickly get to where the fish are and present baits, lure and flies in the most effective way. Miller’s Riverboat Service boats are comfortable, stable and have plenty of power to transport 4-5 fishermen over extremely shallow water safely. Each boat is fully outfitted to give Ben and Ryan every advantage possible including trolling motors, sonar/gps and ability to transport over 20 rods. Half and full day options available.
Fly Fishing
Miller’s Riverboat Service is dialed into fly-fishing the Matsu Valley like no one else’s business. Ben has developed flies and techniques specific for this region that are extremely effective for all the species we target. The opportunity to catch large numbers and size of fish in the Matsu Valley with Miller’s Riverboat Service is competitive with some of the most expensive fly outs in the State of Alaska.
Remote Fly Out Northern Pike Guided Fishing

Enjoy the tranquility of the Alaskan wilderness, while in comfort, floating down one of Alaska’s wild rivers with a professional knowledgeable guide who knows the area, history, ecology and fauna. Our rafts are fully outfitted and comfortable with high quality seating and legroom.
This is an affordable must do activity for both visitors and locals who want to experience nature for the day. Half Day and Full Day packages available. We can accommodate large and small groups.

60 minutes from Anchorage. 4 hour trip. Lots of fishing action and catches of landlocked salmon, rainbow trout, and Arctic Char in the 10 to 15 inch size class. Larger fish in the 15 to 25 inch range are possible.

Susitna Valley King Salmon
May 15 – July 13
Averaging 15-25 lbs. with many in the 40lb. range taken. These river Kings fight hard and provide our customers with an unforgettable experience.
Copper Valley King Salmon
June 15 – July 15
Average 15-25 lbs. with many in the 40lb. range taken. Fishing for these kings is an unforgettable wilderness experience.
Susitna Valley Silver Salmon
July 14 – September 15
Average 5-10 lbs. These fish provide excellent table fare. Silvers are aggressive, hard fighting, abundant and joy to fish for.
Susitna Valley Chum Salmon
July 14 – August 20
Average 10-15 lbs. These fish are aggressive, large, hard fighting and plentiful, providing our customers with lots of action. A spectacular fly-fishing species to target.
Susitna Valley Pink Salmon
July 14 – August 20
Average 2-6 lbs. Extremely plentiful and very aggressive on flies and small lures. These fish provide lots of action. Right out of the ocean, pinks are excellent eating when smoked and canned.
Susitna Valley Rainbow Trout
May 15 – September 30
Averaging 14-20”. With many in the 20-25” range taken. The Susitna Valley hosts a healthy population of native Rainbow trout that are joy to fish for on light spin rods and fly rods.
Hooligan
May 1 – May 31
Available for Alaska Residents only per regulation Averaging 7-10”. Hundreds of thousands of these oily fish migrate up the sides of the Susitna River in May and are easily harvested with dipnets. An extremely tender and oily flesh for eating.
